What tiny action helps you boost your energy levels?
Practice: Tiny Explosions
For 1 minute a day, I want you to connect to your ability to create a tiny explosion that boost your energy. For this practice you need a sink with cold, running water.
At least once a day, when you feel yourself getting unfocused with your energy, go to your sink and wash your hands in cold water.
When you do it, allow all of your attention to be on your body and your breath.
Notice, over the course of the minute, how your energy levels change and shift within your body.
When you’re done your Tiny Explosion, shake out your hands, dry them and move into the rest of your day.
Before starting this practice, take a deep belly breath and connect to your current energy levels. Do a head-to-toe body scan and notice where you have energy and where you’re lacking energy in different parts of your body. Check in with any thoughts that might be pulling you out of your body. Acknowledge them and bring your attention back to your body and your breath. Exhale and begin the practice.
