Walk it off.
Weekly foundation practices help you get back into your body so you can source the wisdom and support that’s available to you there. They are designed to be easy to action and accessible to all bodies.
What movement helps you process your day?
Practice: Walking To Process Your Day
For 20 minutes each day, I want you to connect to your ability to step away from your work and go for a walk to process where you are in your process. If walking isn’t available to you, pick another movement that has a moderate pace and steady rhythm to it.
At the end of the workday, go for a short walk as a way to process your day and get back into your body.
Try not to listen to anything—music, audiobooks, podcasts—and instead let the mind be quiet and undistracted as the body is given space to communicate its experiences.
Move at a pace and in a way that is in response to information sourced from the body and its needs.
Before starting this practice, stand tall and take in a deep inhale and a long exhale. Drop your awareness into your feet and begin.
